Caixa Cubo präsentiert eine Erneuerung der brasilianischen Grooves aus den 70er Jahren und der Samba-Jazz-Tradition mit einer zeitgenössischen Note. Ihr siebtes Album Angela (Heavenly Recordings) wurde hoch gelobt und landete auf den Listen der „Alben des Jahres“ von BBC 6, Gilles Peterson und Bandcamp 2020.

Caixa Cubo trat 2022 bei der jazzahead! auf und spielte auf Bühnen wie Jazz à Vienne (Frankreich), Nefertiti (Schweden), Riverboat Jazz Festival (Dänemark), Breda Jazz Festival (Holland), Auditório Ibirapuera (Brasilien) und teilte die Bühne mit Musikern wie Yamandu Costa, Tony Lakatos, John Rucco, Nailor Proveta, Paulo Belinatti, Teco Cardoso und anderen.

Im November 2024 wird Caixa Cubo ihr neues Album Modo Avião vorstellen, ihr Debüt bei Far Out Recordings.
