Ein wirbelnder Sog der in einem erloschenen unterirdischen Riesenvulkan verschwindet. Es ist ein ewiges Wechselspiel zwischen dem Abstürzen in die unendliche Tiefe des Meeres und dem Reiz des Risikos am Rande des Wirbels die Gefahr zu genießen. Sicherheit gibt es in jedem Fall nicht. Fische und anderes Meeresgetier meiden instinktiv die Nähe des Strudels, Menschen hingegen werden immer wieder Opfer ihrer nicht zu bezähmenden Neugier und wagen sich zu nahe heran.
