Elena Romano is an Italian singer and songwriter with a strong background in jazz singing, trained
at Siena Jazz University, the Hochschule für Musik und Tanz Köln, and the Conservatorio
Frescobaldi in Ferrara, where she earned her master’s degree in Jazz Vocal Performance.
Her songs reflect her personality and emotions, encouraging listeners to turn their own lives into a
work of art. Alongside her vocal career, she has collaborated with renowned musicians such as
Ferruccio Spinetti and American drummer Jeff Ballard on Arie (2022).
Her talent has been recognized with several awards, including Best Composition at the Bianca
D’Aponte Contest (2021), the Ernesto De Pascale Prize at Rock Contest Controradio (2024), and a
special mention from MITA Academy. In 2025 she performed at NextEmerson in Florence, at the
Meeting del Mare Festival (opening for Marco Castello), and was selected among the semifinalists
of 1M NEXT (May Day in Rome).

Marcello Conti (b. 1997, Messina) is an Italian jazz pianist and composer. After
classical piano studies with Giovanni Santangelo, he studied jazz with Fred
Hersch, Giovanni Mazzarino, Carmelo Mafali and Fabrizio Puglisi. He holds a Law
degree with a thesis on jazz and international law, a Master’s in Jazz Piano from
the Conservatory of Ferrara (2024), and is currently studying at the Koninklijk
Conservatorium Brussel under Diederik Wissels.
Conti has performed at major jazz festivals across Europe and is a member of the
Laudamo Creative Orchestra and the Orchestra Nazionale Jazz dei Conservatori
Italiani. He co-founded the Strait Project and released the album Water Dance (Da
Vinci Publishing) in 2024. He has received awards from competitions including the
Lelio Luttazzi Contest, Bucharest International Jazz Competition (Special Prize,
2024), and Chicco Bettinardi Contest (finalist, 2025).
